The MMRC is pleased to announce that it has been awarded $1.5 million from The Pioneer Fund, a private family foundation based in Denver, Colo. The MMRC extends its deepest gratitude for the receipt of this generous grant.

MMRC Initiates GLP-Quality Tissue Bank Efforts
On Sept. 9-10, the MMRC convened a Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) training program and interactive workshop at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Ariz., to support the establishment of the MMRC's unique GLP-quality Tissue Bank. Led by Biologics Consulting Group, the objectives of this training were to 1) communicate key GLP tenets for the uniform processing and accrual of bone marrow samples into the MMRC Tissue Bank 2) discuss how the MMRC's customized data collection system will support the implementation of GLPs among MMRC Member Institutions and within the MMRC Tissue and Data Banks.

Following MMRC bylaws, the MMRC Interim Board of Directors transitioned to a formal board structure in conjunction with the Consortium's launch.
