MMRC Welcomes Three New Member Institutions

The MMRC is pleased to announce the addition of three new Member Institutions - Emory University, Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers of New York, and University of Chicago. The addition of these three world-renowned institutions will enable the MMRC to accelerate the collection of myeloma tissue samples into the MMRC Tissue Bank and will increase its capacity to conduct additional Phase I and II clinical trials. "Our researchers will now be able to collaborate with other centers of excellence and share critical information that will help accelerate drug discovery," said Sagar Lonial, MD, Assistant Professor at Emory’s Winship Cancer Institute, "We are excited to be part of a team that is working toward building a pipeline of therapeutic drugs to treat myeloma patients." The MMRC Welcomes New Board Member

The MMRC is proud to welcome Thomas J. Kipps, MD, PhD, Professor of Medicine and Deputy Director of Research at the Moores UCSD Cancer Center, to its Board of Directors. "With many exciting research efforts underway, the MMRC now stands as an optimal model to exponentially hasten drug discoveries in myeloma and to speed the development of new breakthrough treatments," said Dr. Kipps. "I am proud to play a role in advancing the MMRC's important work by serving as a member of the MMRC Board of Directors."
