We are pleased to provide you with an MMRC Update. This monthly briefing was created to keep you informed of the MMRC's progress toward its ultimate goal of accelerating drug development and improving patient outcomes in multiple myeloma.

The MMRC has named Nancy Sumberaz, a former pharmaceutical marketing executive with more than 15 years of experience, as president. She will report to Kathy Giusti, who will retain her role as chief executive officer. "Nancy's proven experience and personal dedication to the goals of the MMRC make her a tremendous addition to our organization," CEO Kathy Giusti said. Ms. Sumberaz has also been named president of the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.

MMRC research and drug development efforts are highly focused on the robust validation of new and combination therapies and advancing these compounds into high-quality Phase I and II clinical trials. The MMRC is currently seeking promising novel compounds for these efforts and is particularly interested compounds that are active against the following targets:

The MMRC has selected MDS Pharma Services, a leading provider of innovative drug discovery and development solutions, as its preferred Contract Research Organization (CRO). The MMRC will utilize MDS Pharma Service to manage multiple MMRC pre-clinical and clinical research efforts, including data collected for the MMRC’s Ancillary Tissue Collection Study. The MMRC will also recommend this CRO to industry as additional protocols are brought through the Consortium.
